Words I’ll Never Write 001

Good evening lovelies,

I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile. Something I’ve always aspired to do is write a book. I have a lot of ideas, but the come in snippets. I have a lot of problems finishing any story I write, so every other Wednesday, I’m going to post words that came to me and will never come to fruition in story form. Hope you enjoy!

Cold. That’s the last thing I remember feeling. Like all of my panicked senses ceased firing all at once.

I remember being dragged from the gunshots and fire by a mysterious figure. Everything was hazy, even in my last moments, I wasn’t sure I was going to make it.

I still wasn’t.

The pain had subsided, for now. I knew I was in a world of hurt if I ever pulled out of this.

Snippets like this one come to me randomly, usually in dreams. Some days I’ll wake up and have the overwhelming urge to write something, but the urge to finish it never comes. So stories get forgotten or lost, but this blog seems as good a place as any to share. Maybe they’ll give someone inspiration.

I know you clicked on my blog and thought…what is a Sondern wanderer?

There’s a quote from a poem by author JRR Tolkien which really resonated with me. “Not all those who wander are lost.”

“Sondern” comes from a German word meaning “rather”. I would much rather be wandering. I have an extreme case of wanderlust.

Although, I’m not lost, I’m exploring. Wandering through life going in whichever direction I feel inclined. Over the course of 4 years, I’ve changed my career path five times, and my actual job three times.

We are on Earth for a short time. And that short time is no time to be miserable. I changed my career because what I was doing took an incredible toll on my mental health. When I finally snapped out of that fog, I realized I wasn’t going to stand for it anymore.

Taking matters into my own hands, I quit my job and found a better one that isn’t deteriorating me from the inside.

Then I wanted more. To share my experiences, life views, and other things with the world seemed like something I wanted to do. So I started a blog. Where I can wander and allow you to come with me.

I’m still trying to decide the direction I want for this blog. So join along, and see where this journey takes me.

Hello lovelies.

They tell me the journey of 1,000 miles begins with the first step. I’m still not sure who ‘they’ is, but that is sound advice nonetheless. Well. Here’s my first step. 

I’ve lived on this Earth for 26 years, and for awhile I’ve been searching for something to give my life purpose. Is a blog where I share anecdotes, travel diaries, makeup tips, recipes, and anything else that strikes my fancy where I’ll find it?
